Applications
  •   Oil and gas: Nickel wire is used in both onshore and offshore rigs and plants to produce corrosive, high-temperature fuel.
  •   Medical: Because medical devices require wires that efficiently carry heat and electricity, nickel wire is frequently used in these devices.
  •   Aerospace and defence: Nickel wires are used in aircraft turbines because of the extreme temperatures and pressures they must sustain.
  •   Manufacturing: Nickel wires are used in the production of metal components using radiant tubes and other heat treating equipment.
  •   Marine: Nickel wires enable ship construction and other maritime activities.
  •   Nickel wires are necessary for items such as electrical contacts, fasteners, and electronic components.

Numerous Nickel Wire is available from us and is utilized in RTD sensors, resistors, rheostats, voltage control relays, heating elements, potentiometers, and other parts. Engineers base their designs on each alloy's special characteristics. These include magnetic attraction, resistance to oxidation or corrosive conditions, high tensile strength, thermoelectric characteristics, coefficient of expansion, and high tensile strength. Wires are available without insulation or with a film coating.

Because of its ability to withstand severe chemical corrosion, including air and water oxidation, nickel wires are a common material for wires. Additionally resistant to acids and alkalis are nickel alloys. Products with electrical components or those exposed to intense heat (up to 2,600 °F) typically employ nickel wire. As long as the temperature doesn't rise above 350 °F, the substance is also magnetic. It will stop being magnetic after this point.

For a wide range of uses and industries, Fine Nickel Thermal Spray Metalizing Wire produces premium bespoke wire products. Nickel thermal spray wires are available in a variety of forms, including round, duplex, ribbon, and stranded, and we can draw them to diameters as tiny as 0.0004 inches. Aluminum, copper, alloys for thermocouples, gold, silver, platinum, and other materials are among our other wire materials.

Nickel AlloyWire

When a low-temperature coefficient is required, an alloy of nickel and copper with a ratio of 45:55 is ideal. Nickel Alloy Wire is frequently utilized in wire form for the production of precision components in the electrical and electronic industries, primarily as instrument coils and shunts.

Properties of Nickel

With a face-centered cubic crystalline structure, nickel, which has the chemical symbol Ni, has a silvery-white appearance and is a primordial element. It has a Curie temperature of 253oC and is magnetic at room temperature (487oF).

Nickel wire price

Nickel Wire Types

The caustic alkalies can corrode the nickel wire, which is used as heating and Nickel welding wire, all the way up to the molten state. In addition, when compared to other alloys, our nickel filler wire, coil wire, and spool wire exhibit good magnetic and magnetostrictive qualities as well as strong electrical and thermal spray coating conductivity. Outstanding caustic alkali resistance exists in nickel filler wire, even in the molten condition. in salt solutions that are neutral, alkaline, or both Our nickel wire, which is used as heating and filler wire and has a length of nickel wire 0.025 mm or nickel wire 0.025 mm, exhibits good resistance, but will suffer severe assault in oxidizing salt solutions. On a PVC coil, 0.025mm nickel wire is coiled. Although not all manufacturers follow item 5.3 of each coil must be coiled with a single piece of wire. In mining, oil, chemical, food, pharmaceutical, machine, and other areas including electronics and battery manufacture, nickel woven wire mesh is frequently used as a filtration material.

Pure Nickel Wire

One of the most expensive metals in the world is pure nickel wire. Nickel wires are more malleable and ductile than other metals, allowing them to be stretched to a thinness that would shatter them. Pure nickel wires are also superior heat and electricity conductors. These factors make the aerospace and medical industries the two that employ nickel wires the most frequently.

COPPER-NICKEL (MONEL) WIRE

Monel ( copper nickel wire ) is more tensile than pure nickel and is made up of around two-thirds nickel, one-third copper, and trace amounts of iron, carbon, silicon, and manganese. Also very corrosive is monel.

NICHROME Nickel Wire

Nichrome, also called nickel chrome wire, is an alloy of nickel and chromium that contains variable amounts of each element. The ratio of nickel to chromium is indicated by the number that follows the nichrome type. For instance, the composition of Nichrome 60 is around 60% nickel and 40% chromium.

Nichrome is frequently used as the heating element in home appliances like toasters and hair dryers because of its exceptional heat and oxidation resistance. Nichrome is also used to heat items in laboratories, building sites, glass studios, and ceramic sculptures.

Nickel Chromium Based Wire

This nickel-chromium wire is widely utilized in situations where resistance to heat and/or corrosion is necessary. Some of the group's members, whose working environments are less demanding, substitute iron for some of the nickel to reduce costs.

Nickel Stainless Steel Wire

Most Nickel stainless steel wire has 8–10% nickel content. In every case, it is the addition of nickel and chromium that completes the task. Since they maintain their strength at higher temperatures than structural steel, stainless steels are especially helpful as fire retardant material.

The most popular stainless steel is grade 304, which has a balance of iron, 8% nickel, and 18% chromium. For everyday goods like spoons, forks, saucepans, and kitchen sinks, this is used. Type 316 is used where increased corrosion resistance is needed, such as for roofing in marine applications. This has 3% more molybdenum wire added and roughly the same amounts of nickel and chromium as 304. A second iron balance is used.

Nickel Wire Benefit

The following benefits of nickel wire are available for any application.

  • Corrosion protection
  • Conductivity of electricity
  • Resistance to oxidation, particularly in seawater
  • Resistance to acids, bases, and dry gases
  • Superior ductility
  • Outstanding mechanical strength

Nickel Wire Uses

Used for a variety of things, including springs, electrical and electronic leads, mechanical parts, food-handling equipment, magnetically operated parts, resistors, heating applications, and mechanical components.  Nickel that is commercially pure, has strong mechanical characteristics across a wide temperature range and has exceptional resistance to various corrosives, especially hydroxides. Excellent acid and alkali corrosion resistance; best used in reducing environments. Exceptional resistance to caustic alkalis, even in a molten state.

The material has good resistance to acid, alkaline, and neutral salt solutions, but significant assault will happen in oxidizing salt solutions.

Useable at temperatures up to 550oC and resistant to all dry gases at room temperature in dry chlorine and hydrogen chloride.
